Do I Have To Die?

Do I have to die,

For all to struggle

For a line of the eulogy

Showing how good I was

While it was always wars

Of words some backbiting

While the rest just biting

 Do I have to die,

Of hunger,

For you to fill all baskets to my place

To come and feast

While even the least

Of your leftovers never found my place

Do I have to die,

Of pneumonia

Because I was bold

To withstand the cold

To be bought not just a suit,

An expensive suit?

Do I have to die,

In a roofless mansion

Or a zero-walled bungalow

So you rehabilitate my home

Then invest in a casket

Or at least tile they yard?

Do I have to die,

In my peasantry

Hopeless, cashless and worthless

For a hopeful cash drive for a worthy course

To be held with pleasantries

For a happy send-off?

Do I have to die,

Of loneliness

Where no one visited

For all to flock

Jam in competition to visit

A home no longer mine?

Do I have to die,

Ignored all along

Where no one thought

I had a reason to live

For all to tweet of the loss

With all fake-teared faces?
